What We Do

Camping
Offering large spaces in uncrowded settings. You can choose between powered or non-powered sites. There are showers, toilets, camp kitchen, an outdoor bush bath and one of the best stocked licensed bars you will see.

Events
Think beyond simple camping, Left of Field is an event destination offering regular live music in the most picturesque gardens. It is perfect for weddings, birthdays or simple get togethers.

From small and intimate gatherings at our onsite bar, to full weekend festivals, Left of Field, a destination for live music since 2015.

I am travelling with a group, are your sites suitable for groups to camp together?
Our sites are not crowded, and we have many areas within our park that cater for groups of various sizes.
Are there any live music events planned?
Yes! We host live music events regularly, featuring local bands and artists. Check our events calendar for upcoming performances.
Is there any Wi-Fi available on-site?
We have guest WiFi available at our communal fire pit and bar.
Is my dog welcome at Left of Field?
Absolutely, however we do have some rules you need to follow. Dogs must be on a lead at all times, and are not allowed on our golf course, in the camp kitchen, or in the under cover area of our bar.
Please also consider the needs of our other guests and ensure that your best friend does not interfere with their experience. We know, it's weird, but not everyone loves your dog the way you do.
Is there a campfire policy?
Yes, supervised campfires are allowed on gravel areas only. Wood is available to purchase at our park.
Do you have laundry facilities?
We have one washing machine and a clothes line, however we do not have a clothes dryer.

Where We Are

Located at 2440 Gordon River Rd, National Park Tasmania, Left of Field offers a great place to base yourself whilst exploring Mt Field National Park, Lake Pedder and the south-west wilderness. Being only 70km from Hobart, nothing is too far away.
